character design
Twigg is a character I created as a homework assignment for school. he began as a quirky little sketch with a definite Peter Pan flavor, and you can see in this image a little of his development. I really didn’t search much for this character, he sort of appeared pretty completely the first go-around.
Here is a little bit of a more complete character sheet. I did do a full turn around and more development of his character, but I still want to work a little more on those before I submit them to public criticism. :)
And last but not least: A background development project. I like to show this one because it explains a little of my process, as well as how I use multiple mediums . I began with a rough sketch (not shown) and then built a very rough 3-d version to help me frame it all up and get my perspective right. A little drawing and redesigning later, I had a workable design and color palette. In the final version of this project the background is chalk pastels and the character in the foreground is digitally painted in Photoshop.
